Indian National Development & Reformation Association – INDRA, laid its foundation in 2018 at Madurai by planting 20 trees with 5 volunteers. Since then, we have conducted more than 160+ events across India. Today, we actively function in 8 different wings across 10 states in India and 20 districts in Tamil Nadu with more than 500+ enthusiastic volunteers. INDRA is more like a platform for the youngsters to exhibit their talents and develop their leadership qualities. We rightly set an example for the motto ‘Be The Change!’
A developed India by 2025 is our mission. In a country with a population of 1.3 Billion, every individual must own responsibility. We make our mission possible by uprooting various problems in the society from the ground level by extending our helping hands to every nook and corner of the country. Alongside this, we also hold steadfast to the mission of making earth livable by building a safe and happy environment. We do this by guiding and grooming youngsters to become leaders. We believe that if young minds are ignited in the right direction, it would enhance the development of our nation.
We look forward to reaching out to all the states, districts, and villages in our country. We plan to execute a minimum of one event per district every month. Reaching out to the public is vital in accomplishing our mission and we do it through social media to spread awareness. Our goal is to conduct events tactfully with logical reasons and solutions adhering to rules of the law. We also plan to reach out to a large audience of youngsters by staying connected with students (schools and colleges) through the Memorandum Of Understanding – MOU.
We aim to accomplish our mission by always carrying forward the attitude of ‘Service Before Self’ and by maintaining self- discipline, dignity, and decorum. We always hold the conduct of a gentleman/lady and look forward to bridging the barriers between languages, religions, castes, and creed amongst people. We work united towards one goal by showcasing our talents for the noble cause. We work selflessly by accepting the difference in opinions and by being open to new ideas. Honesty, Integrity, and Loyalty are the key to exhibiting our leadership qualities.
The volunteers initially look for various problems in the surrounding area and bring it to the common platform where the ideas start to bloom. The volunteers then predict the future outcome of the particular issue if it’s left untreated.
INDRA is a platform for the volunteers to pitch in an event concerning their field of expertise and interest. We are always open to ideas the volunteers bring up regarding an event — We believe in the power of unity.
The volunteers then work on the knowledge they have gathered of the problem such as its occurrence, duration of its existence, history/genetics, and its due effects. Based on the study, the volunteers come up with solutions.
Initially, public awareness is generated through social media campaigns to increase the impact. The volunteers collectively work in creating awareness videos, posters, etc which is then circulated to all the districts and states.
Post the social media campaigns, the volunteers get into fieldwork by themselves. The event is planned based on the inputs suggested by all the members. Once an event is being executed in a particular region, the same method is implemented by the volunteers of other regions in their surroundings as well.
